high school Drop outs

Have you ever noticed how people tend to look down on people who drop out of high school or college? Why is that? Just because someone drops out of school doesnt mean they are a failure.
Maybe the school setting is what they need, maybe they need a different atmosphere. I am turning 16 May 13, and I am dropping out. I am not a fan of school, that is why i have alot of absences. I hate the school setting. I would rather be in a room by myself and given the work i need to do. I do plan on doing something with my life though. I am going to Stanly Community College Adult High school program. Yeah, not everyone chooses to do that, but that dont mean they have wasted their life and future.

whats your opinion on Drop outs?

Drug

Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, Hydrocodone, Inhalants, LSD, MDMA(Ecstasy), Methamphetamine, Oxycotin, Steroids. All forms of drugs. Drugs are what makes the world go around in some people's eyes. Some drugs are way more intense than others, Some more expensive, some less affective. Either way you look at it Drugs are all around us. Most teenagers have done some kind of drug by the time they are atleast 17 years old. I personally have done drugs before, Everyone says that drugs do nothing but mess up your body, but i dont look at it that way. Drugs keep some people alive because of a addiction. That is bad, but with certain people when they get "high" by smoking a blunt, they see things in a different way, and that way just might help them understand how the world is really going around. Yeah, you are probably thinking that i am crazy for thinking that and you want to lecture me about how nothing good can come out of drugs and what not, and to be honest, not to be mean, but PLEASE KEEP THAT TO YOURSELF. Drugs, drugs drugs, that is what is on so many people's minds right now. Rehab doesnt always help, the way i look at it, Rehab is judging people for what they have done, and it's pretty lame, but sometimes it does help.
I guess my question is;;

What is your opinion on drugs, and drug use?

Religion-

4 basic definitions of religion.

Religion is EVERY WHERE in the world. You can not escape it. Religion is probably a subject that everyone has some sort of opinion on, whether it be their personal beliefs, or their disagreement with someone else. I am not a certain religion. I do believe in god, and what not, but i dont look at myself as a "christian". The bible confuses me in many ways. How ever i am not getting into the subject of the bible right now. I am getting into the subject of Judgement due to religious beliefs. I know alot of people. Not all of them are christian, some are, and some are major hardcore christian. Religion comes in many many differnet forms and practices. Hinduism, Buddism, Wicca, Christianity. Alot of the american popultaion has become "Atheist" which means they do not claim a religion. Some beliefs of religions i find absolutely insane. I personally believe the reason so many teenagers have dont have a religion is because so many people are trying to shove their beliefs down others throats, which causes the person to become extremely annoyed. That is one reason why i dont have a religion. I got so tired of people trying to shove what the believe down my throat. I believe in a higher power, and everything. so many questions, and no real answers. no way of giving a honest anwser though..

So my question is.

Abuse..

Have you ever saw a little child and saw bruises on them and thought to yourself "they probably just fell." That may be the case sometimes, but not everytime. Child abuse is happening more and more everyday in the united states and it seems as though no one is doing anything about it. Schools seem to have a idea of what is going on but they don't speak out as much as they should. No one wants to be friends with a kid who is abused. In most cases of child abuse the child is in a house hold with atleast one parent who is a alcoholic or a drug abuser. What I wonder is what a person gets out of hitting a child, i mean honestly. You hit a kid, what do you get from it,you get the enjoyment of knowing that your hurting someone who cant defend themselves. The child is normally too afraid to speak out to someone about what is going on at home. When asked about their bruises, the abuser has probably already told them what to say so they dont get into trouble. No one seems to listen and notice what is really going on. In the book "A child called It" it goes into detail on what happens in a household with a alcoholic mother and what later becomes a absent father, It is a true story about a little boy named David who was abused, starved and tortured by his mother til he was almost dead, and to the point where he wished he was dead. Abuse comes in different forms; Physical, emotional, phsycological. David is forced to handle all 3, He must learn to survive his mothers demented games. No one knows what is really going on, until the nurse comes to rescue him. Social services was called, but "Mother" put on a act so no one would know. Which is what seems to happen in almost every case now. Abuse isn't just towards children, its towards "Boyfriends", "girlfriends", even animals. Why? That is all i want to know.

Why do you think others abuse children, the ones they "love", even animals?

Harrasment

Sitting in a classroom full of different people. Different personality, different skin color, different clothes. We stay to our own groups, never dare to drift away. why is it that we feel as though we can not be different? We will fight, we will fall til the angels sing our songs. We are young, why waste our lives away with the same people? Explore, Get to know someone New. My thing, that I have noticed is that If say Nikki is best friends with Courtney and Nikki says something about Jane then Courtney, even if she doesnt feel the same, will agree with Nikki. I have seen that so much through out Middle school, and it seems like it's getting worse now in high school. Why is that? Because we dont want to loose that person's friendship? We want that person to think we are cool, even if it means hurting someone else. It's not only in schools anymore though, it is in the streets, online. It's really disgusting. why do we do this?

Have you ever noticed how just because we are not over the age of 18, and have a job no one seems to take us seriously? We have voices and we have opinion but are we heard? In the Hollywood Undead song young, they made me think.

The truth is we are born in a word that is falling apart.
but we have to fight, and fall.
We have to make our opinions heard.
I want to be known for something, and that means I must let my
opinion heard. I have opinions on alot of things, and i dont express my opinion to alot of people
unless i am really annoyed with hearing someone say something. Pretty much i guess i am just trying to say stand up for what you believe in even if your the only one standing.

Skinny?

People (more girls than guys) seem to believe in their heads that they must be a size 3 to be beautiful. I mean, it seems as though no one knows how to eat now days. Everyone is so skinny and pale looking because they dont eat! It gets so annoying seeing a girl eat a cracker everyday at lunch and she still thinks she's fat after that one cracker. Why do girls think this way is what I really want to know.

I have a friend, and her name is Amber, she is a size 6 and she thinks she is like a size 19. She looks in the mirror and she sees exactly what the picture to the right is. It is horrible. Everyone tries to tell her that she is too skinny. "You can never be too skinny'' she says.

Do you believe there is a thing as "too skinny?"

homosexual

People have a HUGE problem these days with judging people because of their sexuallity.Does it honestly matter though? I Mean seriously look at it like this; Is it you? Are you the one dating and or having relations with the person? No your not. You arent the person who loves and cares for this person. So why does it offend people so very much? I have yet to understand this. I dont think it should matter, yeah I know people always say if your gay you go to hell. Well you know, they say if you sin you go to hell too. So it seems like everyone is going to hell now doesnt it?If you love a person with all your heart should it really matter what someone else thinks. I find it childish.

Ever noticed how we are so quick to judge someone who doesn’t fit into the society standards of what we are suppose to look like? Say you see someone walking down the hallway and they are dressed in all black and they look so very depressed, they look like death. Society says no to that. Society says that we must be picture perfect with blonde hair and blue eyes, and a size 5. It is horrible what society is doing to us. They want you to believe that you have to be something you aren't. You should be who you want to be. It is turning into another Holocaust if you ask me. The goverment and society are trying to force you to believe that you must be something and if you aren't, you get killed. Ever wonder why? I think I know why. It's because society knows that if they let us have our own voice in the world we might ruin their plans of "A better tomorrow". Stand up. Be yourself. Screw what everyone else thinks about you. Let your hair be 9 different colors. Dress like a boy if your a girl. Dress like a girl if your a boy. Do what your heart tells you because you opinion is NEVER wrong.

Hiding

This isnt a blog for credit, i was just thinkin of this in my head. Leave your comments on what you think about it if you want to. And No this was not me. My father never did this to me..but i know others who have and i was thinking about it, and i came up with this so yeah


She is laying on her fathers bed thinking silently in her head "What have I done to deserve this?" She begins to cry softly. Her father opens the palm of his hand and hits her face, leaving it stinging and says "Be quiet someone will hear!" She trys to keep queit, feeling her body go numb from the waist down. She can feel something hard and stiff trying to enter her body. "That hurts Daddy!" she wants to scream out, but she doesn't she doesnt want her daddy to be mad at her. She just lays and takes her "punishment" that is what daddy calls it..punishment.. Someone is coming up the stairs. Daddy stops. The door knob starts to turn. Daddy yells out "Don't come in I'm getting dressed!" the door knob stops, She can still see the shadow on the other side however. She grabs her skirt and sweater, and leaves her fathers room. All she can do now is think inside of her head "Daddy won't love me..daddy wont love me" that is her excuse as to why she takes this cruel punishment when she has done nothing at all.

Gang.

When you walk do the street, through the mall, even through your hallways Do you see gangs?
Bandanas hanging out of their back pockets black, blue, red, pink. It symbolizes who you are what you are representing.I feel as though it has gotten worse over the years. The world has changed into a cruel world full of nothing but violence. Gangs are everywhere. It use to be nothing more than the Bloods, The crips. Now it has transformed into The bloods, The Crips, 310, Tri-deca, and millions more.They are in every County, Every State, Every little city around the world now. In a gang you are suppose to show your support and to be accepted in most gangs you must be beaten until you are so sore. I dont think someone should have to deal with that just so that they will be accepted by a group of people. It is nothing more than a clique like at school. You get into trouble for graffiti, and fighting. You brand yourself with your groups symbol so you can never forget who you are and what you belong to. It is pointless, and its going to get you killed.

Do you think that gangs are going to continue to grow?

fake changes

I'm a shallow selfish inconsiderate teenage girl. I don't look my best 24/7. People tend to walk by me and say something under their breath. I don't really seem to mind it anymore. You look different than me, and I look different from you. It all evens out in the end right? I'm not class president, or home coming queen. I am perfectly fine with that. I live in a town full of people going absolutely no where with their lives but not me. I am going to do something with my life. I may direct a million dollar movie, or find the cure for cancer. Then I'll be somebody. I am so tired of people faking themselves. You put on a fake personality and you sing your way into 13 year old girls hearts, or you start selling your body to playboy and make 30 million dollars for plastic surgery to make you into something you aren't. You are born one way. You can't change who you are, you can only change how you look. If someone doesn't like you one time, do you really think they are gonna like you if you change? Would you change who you are, physically so someone would like you?

Different.?

When you see someone dressed differently then you, do you fear them just because they are in black clothes with dark eye makeup? It's normally what you do right? Should you really do this? Why not get to know them? You would be amazed how similar you two actually are. People tend to hide behind their appearance they don't want anyone to know who they really are. We do this because we have things in our past that we are ashamed of, we can not fix this, we have to learn to live with it. Most people think that just because someone is dressed in black clothes with dark eye makeup that they are a suicidal freak. This is not always true, I find it extremely annoying how some people judge before they get to know.

Picture Perfect

I am the girl who dresses in all black and never got to finish middle school because I was called emo everyday. I am the friend afraid to tell you that I'm bisexual, because you'd leave me for it. I am the girl who loves to read and is pushed into the corner and beat up because of what I love to do. I am no one. Just the kid that was pushed too far at school for being emo and cut a little too deep. I'm the teenager who was kicked out of her house because I was caught hugging my girlfriend. I am the woman who commited suicide just before I graduated high school. Since I'm a CheerLeader, no one suspected it was coming. I am the best friend who just found out she has AIDS, and is afraid to tell her parents because she'll be considered gay. My parents would never accept me if I was. I am the athlete everyone expects to be perfect, when in reality I'm sneaking heroin between games. I am the girl who is called a slut everyday because I can't afford to buy new clothes every year. My skirt doesn't cover what I want it to. I am the sibling forced to clean their sister's blood off of the carpet. Why didn't I see it coming? I am the boy who wakes up crying because the bruises my parents gave me hurt so much, but aren't even noticed because I'm always wearing the baggy clothes the kids in gangs wear. I am the girl who got raped at twelve and am considered a slut because of it. I am the gullible parent who let my child hurt themselves. No one can know this. We have to keep this secret. We have to be PICTURE PERFECT...
